I like how you disclose that tugging has become a part of your life. You don't even think about it or "dwell" on it as you once respectfully put it. I have been tugging for almost a month now (i'm 28) and already I notice extra skin.
There is some encouragement that I need, however. Because the skin is becoming more sensitive, it is harder not to masturbate. I continually tug for 10-15 minutes, so I believe I will try your method of tugging for 1-10 seconds for 1-30 minutes instead.
Also, I purchased the 4restore before I began tugging. Now I realize it will be quite awhile before I use it! The website says , " 2 weeks of manually tugging may be required before use". It seems like it will be almost a year before my skin is that high up on my glans before it will reach the 4restore.
There are many options for using weights to tug. One option is to use a spark plug socket as a PUD. See the instructions at Apollo Technologies. They even sell a socket with a bolt for adding weight.
Just find something heavy about the right diameter and tape it on. I have even heard of one guy using a trailer ball as a weight. That seems a bit heavy to me, but he was happy with it.
Improper catheter insertion can cause Peyronie's disease. This happens more times than one would think. So if a catheter is needed make sure the person has experience and acts like they know what they're doing. If not, assert yourself and ask for someone else. This is not something you want to chance. This momental injury has life long consequences.
I manage my BHP by eating correctly for prostatic health. Not to say I don't sometimes eat wrong, I do. And when I do there is evidence of it by slower flow. Dark green leafy vegetables work the best for me. Nuts and fruits. Red meat inflames the prostate. And there is a study that show milk protein causes the mitochondria to go cancerous. So I limit these. Watermelon and cooked tomatoes great for prostate. Pink grapefruit is ok but regular grapefruit is very bad for the prostate. I load myself up with anti oxident foods and eat my greens, a big bowl full everyday. 12 cups, sounds like a lot but really it isn't, of green tea has been shown to reduce prostate cancer by up to 60%. I drink green tea and also Holy Basil aka Tulsi tea which has the most anti oxidents. Dr. Mercola's website has very good info on the prostate and other parts relating to food.
I went to a free Prostate information group meeting and personal check up. The doctor gave me some new information at the meeting but was saying one can take drugs without really saying the whole truth so I made him admit the drugs are chemical castration. (This doctor was also very much for circumcision based on the African studies which just came out.)
@Antoine, the effects from restoring my foreskin on my psyche have been subtle. I was an introvert before restoring my foreskin and I remain an introvert after restoring.
But, there is another affect that I think comes into play. By restoring your foreskin you are taking charge of your life. Not only are you restoring your foreskin, you are restoring your life. I think this aspect of foreskin restoration accounts for a lot of changes restorers see.
From your description you sound like you are in the process of restoring your life. I wish you luck on your quest.
Ever since my first year of college, i have fully learned of what circumcision has done to me. I was circumcised as a baby and i was brought up to believe that the foreskin was a useless piece of skin. Man.. i was so wrong.. After learning that all i knew was a lie, i tried to bring it up to a few friends. They all seemed to accept circumcision, also being circumcised themselves. They, as all would, push the lies of the so-called benefits, and i was left with no one, to understand. I last confronted my mother, who mocked me and failed to understand the pain she inflicted on her child.
I look back and i remember the many times i was bullied in school, and never seemed to defend myself. I remember how my mother would talk about me being quiet in class, would never speak a word; the teachers thought i had a mental problem and suggested i be put in a special ed class. I look back at all that in hindsight and never understood why i acted that way. I have always had trouble maintaining relationships with friends and family; they always wondered why i didn't stay connected; i believed it was just the way i was. Even with a girl i tried to ask out and some people i knew in college, they say i was a very shy person as compared to 2nd semester. I started to restore my foreskin first semester. Although i didn't restore much, maybe that is what helped me.
Maybe if i finish restoring, this reserved personality can go away and i can be more open to people.
Nice reading your story. In the exact same position here, having realized after 40 years that I had a skin bridge (found it on the interet and broke down crying, never knew exactly what the problem was--same width as yours, on top however) that created lots of physical and psychological grief all throughout my sexual development. Had it "corrected" by a urologist in surgery about 3 years ago under anesthesia with only more scarring, but now erections are no longer painful. But there are residual problems with reduced sensation due to thicker scars. What a mess unneccessary circumsions can create. I can't help but keep thinking: LEAVE THOSE LITTLE BOYS' PENISES ALONE! It's just that simple. When I talk to men who are intact, I am so happy for them--although these men often seem to have no idea how lucky they are! Nevertheless, maybe some day stories like ours will be a thing of the past. There's always hope.
@Joseph4GI, good point. The article What do AIDS activists want more money for? supports your point. The HIV/AIDS epidemic is of lesser magnitude than other problems in third world countries. But, funds and resources for addressing these other problems are being diverted to the HIV/AIDS programs. Rather than having a cohesive health program, there are now special interest groups, such as UNAIDS, that are driving funding and resources toward programs that benefit the special interest groups.
This article argues that HIV/AIDS isn't the problem UNAIDS and UNICEF etc. are trying to make it out to be, it's actually been going down since the 1990s, condoms and education HAVE been working, and that their efforts to downplay them and ramp up gel and circumcision stem from a desire to look busy and justify their existence.
Are self-interested circumcision advocates taking advantage of organizations struggling to appear essential to AIDS donors?
Are "philanthropists" like Bill Clinton, Bill Gates and Annie Lennox really interested in humanity? Or are they merely using "AIDS Charity Funds" as personal non-taxed bank-accounts for their own personal gain?
Is this whole effort to get more AIDS/HIV funds just another gravy train operation that certain interested individuals benefit from? Are well-meaning donors and naive Africans being taken advantage of?
We need to keep a close eye on struggling HIV/AIDS organizations. They may be the key to pro-circumcisionists' undoing.
@ShazamSF, I think you are missing the point. If there is so little sensitivity and feeling in the sex organ that orgasm is not possible, then the capacity of sexual pleasure is reduced. Talking about the inability to orgasm is a way to quantify the loss of pleasure.
Imagine that the taste buds in your mouth only detected very strong flavors and could not sense the subtle flavors of food. Sure, there is still pleasure in the texture and smell of food, but the capacity to fully enjoy eating is much reduced. Now, imagine that someone told you to ignore that you cannot taste the flavors and focus on the pleasure you still get from eating. I don't know about you, but I would consider such advice patronizing.
The story teller describes a condition in which he was not able to experience the full pleasure of sex. From my personal experience I know what it is like to gradually lose sensitivity. I know what it is like to suddenly realize that sex is nowhere near as pleasurable as it was 10, 20 years ago. It gets worse and eventually, the effort is not worth the little pleasure that is received from the act. The loss is not natural and not due to aging. It is the result of a senseless act done to a defenseless infant. Restoring my foreskin has restored much of my capacity for pleasure. It also restored my ability to orgasm, which means I am capable of enjoying more pleasure regardless of having an orgasm.
Sure, orgasms are fun. They're a lot of fun, but they are not the only thing. I can't imagine it wouldn't be helpful to try to take the focus of your sex life away from orgasm and toward pleasure.
Thanks for the kind words. I think we are all in this together, so we should all go down smiling. :)
Ouch! I hope the pyridium helps with your pain. It was a big help to me. You may also want to ask about catheters made with a different material or a different size. Too often we assume doctors know it all. But, with so much information that they need to have at their fingertips, I am amazed they remember as much as they do.
I am thankful for every day. May you be well and happy.
I am female but that does not stop catheter pain. Sometimes I feel as if the top of my head will explode with the pain. I am 65 years old. This is relevant. Apparently ladies after menopause often get body parts that wander to other places in the lower area. In my case the urethra and vagina have always pointed in a non-average way ( it is called retraverted) This happens in about an eighth of the female population. In this case the urethra frequently moves towards the vagina. The vagina has LOTS of nerves and I get pain in both body organs. Sitting is agony.
The catheter has fallen out on average once a week. This is one hell of a painful event. I have nurses who visit, who care, but can not do much medically.
If I go to emergency it is as you described and male doctors treat one as a piece of meat.
You are a naughty person, really you are. You made me laugh out loud so much it really hurt. You should know how laughing affects the catheter
Seriously thanks for giving me some-thing to laugh about. You sound like a great man who can laugh in the face of adversity.
Finally -One thing I feel I must be good my dear late father, a doctor who did so much good in preventative medicine, suffered a lot. Meanwhile my horrid, abusive mother sits drooling and being cared for night and day in no pain at all. I have discovered that good people often suffer. This is probably because we spend our energies looking after others.
I am a useless human being ( I can not cook, sew or anything ) but I was a brilliant, caring, effective teacher. I helped so many abused teenagers who said they adored me and visited for years after school. My mother said the job was an awful job and the kids were scum. No - she spent her years pampering herself to the exclusion of others. I have met so many good people who suffer and I have this feeling that you are too. You obviously chose a loving assertive wife, clever you, nice her.
Again Thanks. I will ask the doctor if the medication is relevant to the female anatomy. My usual salutation
@Antisheephood: Hopefully, we all learn as we live, trying to do better as we move forward through time. I find it refreshing that you learned from your experience. Kudos to you. We all need to do what we can to reduce the number of sheeple.
You are correct about my blog name. I did allow culture and convention to sway me in having my baby circumcised. I want parents to be educated about the many confusing topics that affect our children. It is a privilege to be called a parent and PARENThood is so important, while SHEEPhood is inexcusable. It is no longer okay to follow what the crowd says while we stand back and let society make our choices for us. The next topic on my blog will be about artificial birth control methods and their abortifacient effects. Even if you are not pro-life, it is important to understand how these birth control methods may work and how they affect your body and health.
@SteveF, I am a grower, which means that when I am flaccid I have some loose skin. I was about a CI-2.5 on the Coverage Index, but my skin was very tight when erect. Fortunately, I had a medium cut that left my skin somewhat loose when flaccid.
Between my first and second month I noticed that my skin started bunching up next to my corona. As I kept tugging, more and more skin bunched up. I also had spontaneous roll over during this time. This only occurred when my flaccid penis was shorter than normal, such as immediately after working out and when sitting down. And, it only occurred for a few seconds at a time. I also started retaining fulltime after about two months, so my foreskin was always forced over my glans.
The time to first rollover depends on how tight you were cut and if you are a grower versus a shower. The Real Coverage Index is good for gauging restoration progress. If you were tightly cut, it will take longer than if you were cut loosely.
How long did it take until you experienced the slightest of overhang of the corona? I've been doing method 2 for a months and notice shaft wrinkling. I tried taping years ago and didn't see progress. I understand the process much better now and have the patience to see it through. The tugging methods suit me best.
If I could figure out why I don't feel that way, maybe I can figure out a way to better convince men not to cut their baby boys. When I first read what circumcision really meant, I did not get defensive about my penis. Unfortunately, many men seem to have their ego centered around their penis.
I'm sure you're absolutely correct on this one. If circumcised men say circumcision is bad, then they have to admit that that a terrible thing happened to them when they were helpless babies. I'm not sure how causing your own child the same pain and suffering is better than facing that, but in a sick sort of way, it makes sense.
Fascinating blog- keep up the good work. I don't think we'll see an end to male circumcision until more men who are unhappy with theirs share their stories. If new parents heard more stories like yours, maybe they'd think about the questions their sons will have for them 15 or 30 years after the procedure.

I just looked up Beta Sistersol in Wikipedia. It sounds like good stuff. I will have to try it.
I was diagnosed 6/1/09 and had problems before taking Beta Sistersol (900 mg/day). Have to say that after 3 months my sysptoms have gone away.
