So, this is my brief (and ongoing) story about a torn frenulum & scar tissue...
Back in 2007, I noticed some slight tightness and itching in my foreskin. Some redness was present as well. Since I had a candida infection in the past, I used the same medication and the redness was gone. Case closed... (or was it?)
In the following months, I started having intermittent events of redness, itching and a slightly discolored band formed in the skin around the glans. The discoloration was very slight, and would "come and go", which is weird. I had my first consultation with an urologist that said it was hard to say what it could be, but it was nothing serious. He offered no explanation to the discoloration of the occasional itching.
The problem persisted and I visited another urologist. He looked around and said it *could* be a very early case of balanitis, but he didn't believe it to be. This was some year and a half after the start of the problem. He said he didn't know what the discoloration was (at this point, getting more obvious), but believed it could be vitiligo. His recommendation was to undergo a circumcision, which "maybe" would fix the problem.
Somewhere between 2007 and 2009, I started feeling discomfort in the area. Sometimes pain, but it was hard to locate exactly where. Sex started to get somewhat painful. By stretching the skin and holding other parts (isolating them from the tension), it became clear that the pain came from the frenulum area. I visited yet another urologist who also suggested circumcision as a possible solution. When I asked firmly how it would help, she said she was unsure it would help at all :\ She referred me to a dermatologist.
I've been following up with the dermatologist with mixed results since 2009 or so. In short, I can now clearly feel heavy scar tissue in the frenulum. The only way to improve things is by using steroidal creams, but a few weeks after I stop, things will get bad again. I also tried an steroidal injection under the skin the made it better for months, but was not a permanent solution. A more recent problem is that my foreskin in general seems "sensitive" and will become "red and angry" for anything. Just casual sex for two days will trigger this. Using moisturizing lotions before going to bed every night helps, but if things get too red, only the steroidal cream for a few days will help.
In 2013, I consulted with yet another urologist, specifically asking for a fourth opinion. This doctor said it was indeed a weird problem for which there was no specific solution. He proposed a surgery to "partially rebuild" the frenulum using the adjacent skin and some special stitches he uses on baby surgeries. Of all urologists, this seems to be the most knowledgeable, but again, he said it's quite possible the surgery will "make my penis look uglier" as some screen flap may remain. He also said I'll probably have to sign a ton of forms, since doctors are afraid of doing any kind of penile reconstructive surgery due to lawsuits.
So, in short, I find it amazing that five doctors cannot provide a proper solution to something apparently so simple and common. The solution given to every urologist in America seems to be "circumcise!" even when they say there's absolutely NO guarantees that things will improve! I'm considering traveling to a country where circumcision is less common in search of a solution or a "more experienced" opinion.
I have the same issue. I'm 32 years old and after reading Johns blog I have decided to go and get my penis sorted. It has never once been brought up by the substantial amount of women I have been with, however sometimes I think they are staring at it and it would make me feel better. Thanks for sharing this with us John.
Speaking as a 22 y/o female, who has experienced "cut" and "uncut".
Every male I was with in the US was cut, until I met my now-husband (Norwegian) who is intact. THE biggest difference that I think NEEDS to be mentioned is this: a woman's cervix changes texture and postion depending on what day in her cycle she is on. Some days the cervix is high in the vagina and soft, other days it is lower in the vagina and rigid. I will tell you that with a cut man, it is IMPOSSIBLE (even with an average, 5-6 inch penis) for him to be all the way inside me (meaning me sitting up on top of him while he is laying down) without it hurting, even on days where the cervix is soft. A circumsized male's penis is too rigid, like a broomstick. Even a guy I was with who had a "loose" circumcision hurt me.
Not so with my intact husband. I have literally never had any sort of pain or discomfort with him. The skin is added cushion and helps our parts work together smoothly. What another poster said is also true: the male and female want similar things. There really isn't much of "y feels good for my husband, but x feels good for me". Sex is just better. It feels better, I'm not sore afterwards, and I feel a stronger connection with my husband because it feels more like intimate lovemaking, and not some bang-party like it does with a circumsized man. Giving head is also much more fun as well, the way the skin slides is just ooooooooo. :D
Women in America (and anywhere else that circumcision is rampant) are missing out, BIG TIME. PLEASE, stop circumcising your baby boys, you are doing NO ONE any favors! Intact baby boys have self-cleaning penises, much like the inside of a woman's vagina. Do your research before thrusting this decision on your sons, and don't let anyone convince you that "circumcision is the only solution" to any small issue like tight foreskin or something, ALMOST EVERYTHING can be addressed naturally, without snipping it off! His future sex partners will love it if they can get over this "foreskin is dirty" BS.
And one last thing, foreskin is NOT dirty, at all. There is literally NO medical benefit to circumcision, it can actually lead to ED and more issues later in life as well. Cleanliness depends on the individual, not whether or not he has foreskin. Teach your kids how to properly bathe and clean themselves. A boy shouldn't have to clean under his foreskin until he can retract it himself around age 8 or so.
EDUCATION is the way to end this rampant circumcising and unsatisfied female partners! Spread the word!
Hi, I'm gonna be starting my restoration soon, but I wanted ask you about your orgasms. Have they steadily gotten better as your restored? I'm asking because you generally describe them in the same way even after plenty of progress (like the tingling/flushing feeling of your whole body as you say). And were those descriptions just for masturbation? Because sex always gives me far better orgasms than masturbating.
Also, how long do you think they last? I'm sure you don't keep time during them, but I wonder how long yours might last because you say you ride the orgasm until it comes to a gradual stop.
<a href="http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00H8BPFGS/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=390957&creativeASIN=B00H8BPFGS&linkCode=as2&tag=runelsllc">From dyspareunia to exploding orgasms…this new book explains a breakthrough in medicine (the O-Shot (R) procedure)</a>
The present is always a good time to start restoring.
The only issue to worry about is that the penis typically does not stop growing until sometime until you are in your 20s. So any progress you may have now could be reduced if your penis grows some more. But that is better than not starting and having to grow all of your foreskin at a later time.
Many guys discover that their unevenness disappears as they grow skin. Tugging has a way of balancing things out. I suggest tugging and see how it looks in 6 months or a year.
Hi I got circumcised earlier this year and got healed but after the healing process when I'm trying to have sex my frenulum stretches and causes slight pain or discomfort , what should I do ? Do you think I should have my tethered frenulum released
Hi, I call myself 3.5 because the circumcision was uneven, a side of my glans is half-covered but for the other part, the corona is covered. When it's erect my penis looks kind weird, like it's thicker on one side, but it doesn't bother me much.
I'm 15, and I was wondering if I can restore just fine, like if it affects anything pubertal? I'm sure it doesn't but I just wanted to know what you think. Would it be better to start now?

I wish that my Parents had not had me circumcized. I wish that at least they would have waited so that I could have made up my own mind. I mean it is my body. I have been restoring for about two months now using manual tugging and I'm already seeing results, but I know that I have a long way to go. I never realized how much something like this can mess with your mind. I feel like I've been robbed.
I'm really glad to read these post about women that like foreskin bc iv alway thought that girls wouldn't like me bc I'm not circumcised. I've just got over the fear of it and now I'll show any women that hasn't seen one mine. Showing it a few time helped me get over the fear of girls not liking it. Most girls that hasn't seen one find it interesting. So now I'm glad I'm not circumcised.
I wish more women was like u. I'm notcircumcised and have always been emberresed of it. In high school I never let any of my girlfriend know I wasn't cut. As I got older I started not to care and now I like showing girls that hasn't seen one mine. I'm now proud that I'm not cut. The girls seem to like it bc there is more to play with.
Back pain is really excruciating at times especially when it's not really taken care of. However there are some people that just go with any painkillers or perhpas have gone through unnecessary procedures. I actually know a couple of friends that did. It doesn't really have to go through that unless it's really necessary.
I do hope that the pain would completely go away now and good job not taking the unnecessary procedures!
Do not try to bury what is causality with your own negative attitude of protecting an unnecessary procedure. Men who were the subjects of RIC report sexual dysfunction more frequently than men who were allowed to remain intact. This dysfunction ranges from premature ejaculation to retarded (delayed, inhibited, or inability) ejaculation, loss of sensation, increased incidents of erectile dysfunction, etc, and has been shown in many studies to be related to and/or caused by circumcision.
As for my own worth in dating, you are highly mistaken. I have gone out of my way in relationships to pretend that it does not bother me and to take steps which would allow me to continue a sexual relationship with partners. Even since this highly traumatic experience that was the result of a man who would not deal with his sexual issues related to circumcision (among other causes,) I have taken to carrying a bottle of lubricant in my handbag so that it will always be available in the instance of a "hook up" because I cannot maintain vaginal moisture with a circumcised partner (which I can do with an intact one.) It was heartbreaking to have to tell a consistent partner that I would still insist on condom use, even if he got another STI screening that he volunteered to have done with me so I could see his results, because I could not comfortably have sex with him without one.
When you consider how many men will insist upon circumcision of sons so they "can be like dad," the thought of becoming involved in a long-term/permanent relationship with a "happily" circumcised man (who can't even truly be "happy" with it because the choice was taken from them before they could have the experience of sex while intact) absolutely terrifies me. I do NOT want to punish these men for something they had no control over, but I cannot cause myself harm for their benefit either. And yes, sex with a circumcised man does cause me harm that ranges from discomfort during what is supposed to be a pleasurable experience, to injury in the form of vaginal tearing from the friction and lack of moisture, to infections (yeast infections and bacterial vaginosis) as the result of those injuries, and (especially in extreme cases, such as the one in my story) emotional distress. For this reason, I will not ever pursue a serious relationship with a circumcised man again unless he is working toward restoration.
It's good to know that I'm not the only one. I've got this problem and hadn't heard of any one else till now. Mine's on the right about 3/4 of an inch and has always bean painful during sex. Just dealt with it. Way to shy to ask questions. I haven't even tried dating since my divorce 5 years ago. any way glad I found this.
Nonsense. Don't confuse causality with circumcision. Your ex just had some issues. You're not worth dating if you carry that kind of attitude around and are missing out on a lot of potentially good dudes. But it's your life.....
Good tips for loosing the weight, now most of the people think about their health and for a healthy and nice figure they follow many type of ways. For a healthy body people do many type of exercises, swimming also a good exercise for everybody, for the swimming people choose many type of instructors and as per the instruction they do the swimming. You can cure from muscle and joint problems from the swimming so its a very good exercise for everybody.
It sounds like you need to be patient. Twelve days is not long for your body to heal. It took a while for my inflammation to resolve. It took me months to see the full benefit of my surgery.
There are different types of laser surgeries. The type I had, HoLAP, offers quicker results than the green light laser surgery. Your doctor should be able to tell you the time needed to see results or you could Google the info based on the type of laser surgery you had.
I had prostate laser surgery exactly 12 days ago. I still have to wear diapers and my pee has a pinkish color. It burns at the end of each pee, and have not experienced the fire hose pee yet. I am starting to wonder of the surgery was good. I consulted with my urologist and he told me that I am straiining myself too much. I will give it another 2 weeks to see if my condition improves. I have an appointment with my urologist then...will keep you posted.
Babies are highly delicate so it becomes our responsibility that we should be more careful about their health and for which they don't have to face any sort of problems. In United States best health care are been provided there but still there are few areas they are lacking. After the baby Mario circumcision had led to her death new laws are been formed and regulated to save other children's from facing the same problem.
