I just want to thank you so much, Tally, for sharing my story. I hope that it will prompt other women to speak up about their feelings and experiences regarding circumcision, and to loudly say "NO!" when asked to circumcise their sons.
Oooohwww.. this hurts. [The anguish - not the surgery].
I am now 55. I had two skin bridges almost covering the top half of my penis, and one on the underside. These bridges made me completely inhibited sexually and has screwed me up mentally. Irretrievable damage. Even showers at school - forget it ...
I was a virgin till I was able to go to a urologist at age 35. Don't ask me why it took so long to do that .. but it did.
Surgery under general anaesthetic a few months later. Would you believe they only cut two of the 3 bridges and I had to go through the whole process again with the 3rd one!! As if the first round of medical incompetence - aged 6 months - wasn't enough.
Anyone reading this who is young... do take action early and do not leave it late in life like I did. You owe it to yourself to set yourself free and head-off the mental stress and depession that can follow.
If you are also not so young - worth taking action and the surgery is the easy part. Raising it with the doctor is the difficult bit, but once you cross that line you're away !!
Most problems can be fixed. Often, a plastic surgeon is the best choice because they often have a good understanding of how to produce cosmetically pleasing results with the least amount of damage to the surrounding tissue.
I seriously doubt that any member of congress will publically oppose this bill because congress persons do not want to alienate Jewish donors and fellow Jewish members of congress. They may just let the whole thing die in committee, but it would be political suicide to take a position that Jews see as a denial of their freedom of religion.
You American women are nuts, in Australia it is much preffered to have sex with a circumsized man, not only does it look sexier and maintain much cleaner but no Aussie woman wants a foreskin that resembles an elephant trunk inside her or especially in her mouth! Yuck yuck and yuck.
Did common sense escape compassionate people!???? Is cruelty acceptable, and to whom? . How can make sense to anyone sane? I am amazed and speechless at the absurdity I hear about cleanliness, health and appearance of an infant achieved by cutting his tiny body any such a way while he screams himself unconscious. The shame of it all. it goes beyond retarded and lies on insane. This is about human life, tiptoeing around and sleeping on your feet while people hurt babies is down right dark and ignoring it is criminal. . .
I believe it should be the right of every human to decide for themselves what parts of their own body they would like to keep for a while . Giving us to the age of majority to decide would seem to me to be a reasonable frame work of time.
Thanks Alfred.
Do you mean Ricki Lake's show? The debate over circumcision is back, with experts claiming you have less chance of acquiring HIV with a cut penis. They also claim a cut penis is less likely to give a woman cervical cancer. I do not believe in tapering with nature anymore. Yes, I admit some cut penises look really nice, but the loss of sensitivity is just not worth it. When I was intact, I could roll the foreskin back in the shower, and the force of the water would be too much for the head of my penis. Now,I hardly feel anything when that water is gushing down on it. That in itself proves how much sensitivity has been lost. I now regularly use shear butter cream to try to bring some sensitivity back. A foreskin is there for a reason, to protect the glands and assist with intercourse. If I could turn back time, I would have my foreskin back in a heartbeat. Hopefully I will get results this time around with the tugging. I am more hopeful now that I have seen better diagrams on how to perform this.
Anybody who is reading this, and has been considering circumcision because they think it looks better, please reconsider. Be grateful for what you have, it is there for a reason.
I have heard of many circumcised men whose balls are held close to their shaft or who have turkey neck. These are men who typically have a tight circumcision. There is enough natural variation that I am sure some intact men suffer also, but not near as many as those who are circumcised.
So, yes, I believe a tight scrotum is a complication of circumcision.
My comment was about lower hanging balls was to do with the side effect of being circumcised. I am curious if the higher tighter scrotum is another way that men are damaged by circumcision?
I wish you could have been interviewed on the Ricki's show episode on circumcision. At least, her show would not have been one-sided.
You are right that restoration only mimics the foreskin, but it does bring back a good part of the original sensitivity. You do not need devices to restore: Tally himself depended on manual methods, and his dedication to help men start and complete their restoration examplar. Most of the restorers use manual methods at least as an adjunct to their routine. I would strongly suggest that pursue your restoration. Even though it will not be the original, it will allow you to look to the future instead of regretting what was done on the basis of wrong information.
Early on in my restoration, there was also a loosening of the scrotum. Personally, another esthetically pleasing result is the disappearance of the webbing (turkey neck). Whether or not all intact men have a lower hanging scrotum does not really concern me that much, since my interest is in restoring my foreskin.
I got circumcised at 32, after wanting to for years. There were a few reasons, and I could justify them all at the time. Yet I admit now, it is the biggest regret of my life. I should have researched it more, especially the different styles. The surgeon removed about 90% of my inner foreskin so that my circ scar is very close to the penis head. I have very little sensitive tissue left. Not completely blaming him though. He claimed he did that so the scar mark wouldn't be so obvious as he felt it would take a few years for the scar tissue to disappear. In other words, if it was in the middle of the penis, it would be very noticeable. The downside to all this is I have lost most of that lovely inner foreskin I once enjoyed.
I don't necessarily want a full restoration, just more inner skin so masturbation is easier. I have tried a few restoration techniques over the years but stopped. I saw no results, but it could be because I simply wasn't doing them right or just not long enough. I am planning to return to it, just with manual tugging. Im not fond of wearing actual devices on my penis during the day or night.
I am a person who can honestly claim that it is better to be uncut. I have experienced both worlds, and I would do anything to have my original foreskin and inner skin back. Restoration only mimics the foreskin.
Males who are circumcised at birth will never know the level of sensitivity stripped away from them. I can say, with much sorrow, that you do not know what you have got, until it is gone.
Be warned anybody who thinking of getting circumcised. It is not worth it.
I have always noticed that my sack is almost always tight unless it is very hot outside then there is just a little bit of extra skin so my testicles can hang. I've noticed that many guys and even animals tend to have very low hanging scrotums. I had a nudist friend who was also circumcised but he had so much more shaft skin then I did. I had no extra skin even when flaccid. I was once doing physiotherapy. I could not even lie on the table on my stomach as my testicles were being squished. It was awkward to tell the the therapist my problem. I have had a difficult time restoring and growing skin but hopefully I will one day and hopefully my testicles will hang lower with more scrotum skin. I wonder do all uncircumcised men have low hanging balls?
That sounds like a wise choice. If it is not bothering you, it may be best to leave it alone. If it ever becomes bothersome, you can find a plastic surgeon to have it corrected.
Hey I'm 15 and I've always known I've had a skin bridge it's about half an inch long on the top. When I was like 13 I went to the doctor for a sports physical and she told me and my mom.... about it. It has never hurt and I can use it fine, no curving at all. So I'm not sure if I want it cut or not because I don't want to do any more damage or have scar tissue and such. I think I'll just wait to see if it ever starts to hurt then I might have it fixed but idk.
Great video. I would drop the African study.. First, because it was not scientific and secondly because we are concerned with American babies getting cut. The rest of your presentation is spot on..patents don't have the right to make this decision for their child.
I recently brought up the topic of infant genital mutilation (routine circumcision) to a coleague, and they said, "Have you ever SEEN one? They scare me. I would definitely have my son circumcised." And I found this so offensive. Don't people see the parallel between that and other cultures who think circumcised vulvas are much more attractive? If all female circumcisions were done in sterile hospitals with anesthesia, perhaps shortly after birth, would that make it ok? Because then the girl wouldn't remember, just like American boys who are mutilated. Why can't people see that NONE of this is ok? It's so interesting, disheartening, and frustrating that so many people, men, women, parents, single folk, tell intactivists to mind their own business, that it's a parents choice. Do they say that about FGM? Do they say parents should be allowed to mutilate their daughters for cultural/religious reasons? It's a FEDERAL OFFENSE to so much as pinprick a female infants genitals. Little boys should be protected, too.
I've been with 50/50 intact and cut men, and my current partner is intact, and his foreskin and frenulum are the BEST PARTS! For both him and me. I LOVE his intact penis, and he loves my intact vulva.
Genital intregrity for all, and best of luck to those restoring. Foreskins are beautiful.
I've been with an equal number of intact and circumsized men. I prefer intact men. And in regards to that woman who says circumsized men can go longer...I don't think their foreskin determines their control over climax, it's very much a mental thing. I've had intact men that could go on for hours. My current fiance is circumsized (although loosely) and wishes he had all of this penis. We buy a lot of lube... Our future sons will keep all of their penis. I'll leave it at that.
My parents do not use my penis. I do. My parents do not live with my penis. I do. It is my body, my choice. That choice was taken away from me and I do not like it. It is not OK to cut on a baby boys sex organ unless there is an urgent medical problem that needs to be fixed.
It is not the parents' place to decide on body modifications for their children. If parents circumcised their daughters, they would be arrested. If parents tattoo their children, they are arrested. If someone tied down an adult and circumcised him without his permission, they would be arrested and/or sued. Parents do not have absolute power of their children. There are some things parents cannot do. Male infant circumcision should be one of those things, too.

I WISH I HAD INSURANCE! I SHOULDN'T HAVE TO PAY FOR THIS! I've payed enough mentally.

Sorry to hear that you have a botched circumcision. I suggest posting your pictures to either RestoringForeskin.org or Ron Low's Foreskin Restoration / Intactivism Network.

Good luck with whatever you choose.
I have a similar problem. I was 8 when i got circumsized but the bottom of the penis head is stuck. I'm 36 now. Can this be fixed? check pics.
{Sorry. But pics have to be uploaded to be displayed. ~Tally}

Foreskin restoration is an option. And based on this post, it is an option that will be well received.
Based on my experience, foreskin restoration works and produces very good results.
This is depressing, I have no foreskin and I basically hate my parents for doing this to me.
That sounds like a wise choice. If it is not bothering you, it may be best to leave it alone. If it ever becomes bothersome, you can find a plastic surgeon to have it corrected.

can women exactly explain how they feel in sex with cut and uncut skin...when the got the maximum pleasure in oral sex or in something else :)
