5 year progress report for my foreskin restoration

by Tally on August 11, 2013 Bookmark and Share

5 years of foreskin restorationFive years. 60 months. It seems like I have been restoring my foreskin for a long time. I have trouble remembering what it was like before I started restoring my foreskin.

Like most other men, though, I wish I had started years before I did. That way I would have enjoyed the benefits of foreskin restoration for much longer.

After 5 years of tugging my foreskin, I am not yet done. I would have been, and I thought I was done, but I lost 45 pounds since early last year.

The weight loss resulted in a reduction of my fat pad on my abdomen. That means my penis sticks out further. About 1 inch further. With a longer penis, my foreskin cannot cover it the same as before my weight loss. My coverage index went from full flaccid coverage with a bit of overhang, about CI-7 or CI-8, to not quite full flaccid coverage, about a CI-5. With continued tugging, I am back to about CI-6. I have full flaccid coverage most of the time, but my restored foreskin still occasionally spontaneously retracts. More length will fix that. I know because it used to be long enough to not spontaneously retract.

I still have about 15 to 20 pounds that I want to lose. So, I expect to continue seeing slow progress with my restoring efforts. I guess a longer penis is a good tradeoff for slower foreskin restoration progress. I feel so much better being lighter that the slower progress is worth it. It is a bonus that I still have some coverage remaining.

Even with the setback of losing some coverage, I still enjoy the gliding action. I still enjoy the sensitivity that I regained from keeping my glans and inner foreskin remnant covered. But I still need to tug to get back where I was a year ago. I continue to manual tug with method 2. It remains my primary method for restoring.

The reduction in foreskin coverage means I am back to wearing a retainer full time. Before losing weight, I wore a retainer only at night to protect against nocturnal erections. But with less coverage for my longer penis, I need some help keeping my skin covering all my sensitive bits. So I started wearing my baby bottle nipple retainer again.

I am still determined to restore my foreskin until I am at least a CI-9. I would like to have full coverage when erect. I am still motivated to restore and lose more weight.

Congratulations, both on your amazing weight loss, and your commitment to see your own restoration to the end.

#2 But how does it FEEL?

Submitted by Anonymous (not verified) on Thu, 09/05/2013 - 1:41pm.

Pre-orgasmic? Orgasm?

You say it is more comfortable but anything else?

A woman who pointed me to your site said her intact lovers "pulsated" for minutes with her but do you? Because restored is not INTACT.

Just curious.

#3 Restored is not intact

Submitted by Tally on Thu, 09/05/2013 - 6:05pm.

You are correct. Being restored is not the same as being intact. But after being circumcised, restoring my foreskin is the closest I can get to being intact.

Sex is a bazillion times better after restoring. I have whole body orgasms, which I never had before I started restoring. These orgasms are like waves that keep washing over me. They are much better than the single explosion that I used to experience. The gliding action of the restored foreskin is something I never knew existed until I started restoring. It is great to not have that irritation in my shorts from the sensitive parts of my penis rubbing against my clothes. Read my posts on the benefits of foreskin restoration for more details.

#4 I must admit

Submitted by Anonymous (not verified) on Thu, 09/05/2013 - 8:03pm.

Your manual tugging sounds like a better start. These other devices scare the hell out of me. I go to the bathroom a lot and they all have a strap and look so . . . awkward. Does that DTR device serve as good alternative (without strap)?

Man, I've got no coverage. They took it all. Skin barely gets above the bottom of the glans. I was born in '62 when hair cuts were very short. I think he wanted to give me penis a sharp hair cut. Sigh.

PS: It would be helpful if people would get a lab reading of their plateau, orgasm, resolution before and after. All these anecdotes but no data!

Problem is sex researchers were totally bored with men after Masters and Johnson. Almost all the research is on the amazing variety and capacity of women (including the recent brain scans of women who can "think to orgasm" - they found dozens of women easily to participate but no man with the ability. Our brains are wired to get the least amount of pleasure to ejaculate and reproduce. But they did an alternative with some device getting the men to orgasm to see brain wave activity. It was hard to study the male orgasm because it was such a short flicker on the scan compared to the woman's.

But any lab reading - blood pressure rise and fall, heart beats, anal contractions.

#5 Little data

Submitted by Tally on Sun, 09/08/2013 - 10:57pm.

I agree, there has been little research on male sexuality. All we have to go on is anecdotal evidence. And it overwhelmingly indicates that foreskin restoration improves sexual pleasure and a man's sense of well-being.

As for getting data before restoration, I am not sure I would be able to respond  sexually if I were to be hooked up to test equipment monitoring my bodily responses during orgasm. Worse yet, it would have to be done over a period of time to determine a normal range. Then it would have to be repeated at intervals during restoration to determine the difference. On an individual level I see little practical need for all that testing. Foreskin restoration works. For those just starting, they need to have faith, at least for a little while. Typically, some improvement is noted within a couple months.

#6 Uncut Guy

Submitted by Anonymous (not verified) on Thu, 09/19/2013 - 3:05pm.

I have a question regarding the varying length of most if not all other uncut males around. According to what my younger brother told me about his ‘coverage’, he could easily be mistaken for a cut guy when erect (and he’s uncut).

My question is this: How is that possible when I’ve heard that every male in Europe can’t see their glands, unless intentionally retracted before erect? These European guys would have what I have, which is a CI-10 (I’m stretching for a CI-11/ you can never have too much foreskin), as I never get to see my glands! I have a considerable amount of skin as overhang even when erect. Could it be possible that anyone under CI-10 is actually cut but received a lighter incision (aka-shorter hair cut) than the norm due to changing regulations or policies in the medical world? My younger brother was born in 1985, I was born in 1983, though I’ve asked the “rents” and my mother insists she REJECTED that procedure for any of her male-children when the doctor asked her to reconsider.

I guess I’m wondering if we’re all in reality CI-10s (even with giant dicks) when at birth, although displayed differently in our penile anatomies, except there’s a specific surgical procedure that reduces the length of the coverage (depending on how much the parents want off).

Okay, so I’ve decided we’re all CI-10s at birth, just some have been given light hair cuts while others were left untouched, and still others were nearly castrated by a maniac with a sharp object and having a bad day hehe!

#7 Not all intact men are CI-10

Submitted by Tally on Thu, 09/19/2013 - 7:08pm.

Intact foreskins come in all sizes, just like penises come in all sizes.

If you look at much intact porn, you will notice the variation in foreskin length. For example, the Celebrating Foreskin Tumbler shows pictures of men who have acroposthion (foreskin overhang when erect) and pictures of men whose foreskin covers only a part of their glans when erect, such as this intact man.

#9 Circumcised, CI-3.5

Submitted by Anonymous (not verified) on Thu, 12/26/2013 - 9:52am.

Hi, I call myself 3.5 because the circumcision was uneven, a side of my glans is half-covered but for the other part, the corona is covered. When it's erect my penis looks kind weird, like it's thicker on one side, but it doesn't bother me much.

I'm 15, and I was wondering if I can restore just fine, like if it affects anything pubertal? I'm sure it doesn't but I just wanted to know what you think. Would it be better to start now?

#10 Now is always a good time

Submitted by Tally on Fri, 12/27/2013 - 6:52pm.

The present is always a good time to start restoring.

The only issue to worry about is that the penis typically does not stop growing until sometime until you are in your 20s. So any progress you may have now could be reduced if your penis grows some more. But that is better than not starting and having to grow all of your foreskin at a later time.

Many guys discover that their unevenness disappears as they grow skin. Tugging has a way of balancing things out. I suggest tugging and see how it looks in 6 months or a year.

#11 Do your orgasms continually improve?

Submitted by Anonymous (not verified) on Mon, 12/30/2013 - 9:39pm.

Hi, I'm gonna be starting my restoration soon, but I wanted ask you about your orgasms. Have they steadily gotten better as your restored? I'm asking because you generally describe them in the same way even after plenty of progress (like the tingling/flushing feeling of your whole body as you say). And were those descriptions just for masturbation? Because sex always gives me far better orgasms than masturbating.

Also, how long do you think they last? I'm sure you don't keep time during them, but I wonder how long yours might last because you say you ride the orgasm until it comes to a gradual stop.

Thanks.
