Dr. Reed and surgical foreskin restoration

by Tally on March 31, 2011
Visit http://srsmiami.com/foreskin-restoration.html

Most men opt to restore their foreskin by non-surgical foreskin restoration methods. The linked page describes surgical foreskin restoration. The surgical technique bisects the shaft skin near the base of the penis. The exposed part of the penile shaft is enclosed in the scrotum through two slits cut in the scrotal sack. After about 3 months, a portion of the scrotal skin is cut away from the scrotum and sewed around the shaft of the penis. According to the website in early 2011, the cost of surgical foreskin restoration costs at least $7,600.

by Tally on December 22, 2009
Visit http://www.foreskin.gc.bz/

The Foreskin Restoration site advocates the MTC method, for Modified T-taping and Cross-taping. In this way the skin is tensioned for tugging by the t-tape and the glans is protected when not tugging by the cross-taping. The site has an illustrated how-to guide with a video.

The site also has information and links about other restoration methods.

The five-flap technique for the correction of post-circumcision peno-scrotal webbing

by Tally on February 22, 2010
Visit http://www.jprasurg.com/article/abstracts

The Jerusalem Post reports on a new technique to lengthen the shaft skin for a man with a botched circumcision. Too much skin was removed during circumcision. It sounds like the man had a severe case of turkey neck and the doctors found a way of grafting skin to make that part of the outer skin longer to reduce the turkey neck. I don't know if the surgery technique would work to make a foreskin, but it may bear further investigation.

The doctors wrote up their results and published it in the Journal of Plastic, Reconstructive & Aesthetic Surgery, Volume 63, Issue 3, Pages e325-e326 (March 2010), titled: The five-flap technique for the correction of post-circumcision peno-scrotal webbing. The journal article is a pay-to-view article and the cost is $31.50 US.
