Weight loss and foreskin restoration

by Tally on August 17, 2012 Bookmark and Share

Everyone knows that losing weight is healthy and good for you. Right?

Seven years ago I started my own business. I was a little overweight at that time, and the stress of running my own business and the lack of time to exercise and play ensured that I stayed overweight. I even gained a couple pounds a year over the last five years. I was not satisfied with my sedentary lifestyle and my slowly increasing body girth.

This spring I found Mark's Daily Apple, a website that promotes primal living. I always liked eating low carb and high fat food. I felt full and satisfied eating that way, not at all like when I ate a low fat diet and was always hungry. I first started eating low carb, high fat about 13 years ago when I was on the Atkins Diet. I followed it for a couple years, but I grew lax about following the program. The pounds returned as my eating habits leaned more toward high carb and processed foods.

Reading Mark's Daily Apple inspired me to watch what I ate and to start exercising in earnest. I became better at strictly keeping my carbs low. Controlling my eating habits helped me lose weight and the exercise has made me feel more alive. I have been losing about 1 to 2 pounds a week for several months.

That is good, isn't it?

After a couple of years restoring my foreskin, I have had full flaccid coverage with a bit of overhang for the past 2 years. I stayed covered all day. With that much coverage, I stopped tugging in earnest. I still tugged, but not a lot. I did manual method 2 in the shower almost every day. But that was about it. I was happy with my coverage and had little motivation to continue tugging as much as I used to.

OK, so what is the bad news?

Usually when I get out of the shower my foreskin keeps me covered. But not too long ago I noticed that I was not covered when I got out of the shower. I ignored it once. But after a few days of noticing my lack of coverage I started wondering what was going on. On the Coverage Index I had been at least a CI-7 when flaccid, usually a CI-8. But suddenly I was a CI-6, sometimes a CI-5. Huh? Where did my foreskin go?

Being an engineer, I like to measure things. So, I decided to measure myself. First I measured my flaccid length. That is when the light bulb lit up. My flaccid length was 3/8 inch longer than it was last year. My erect length was also 3/8 inch longer. That is when I remembered that losing weight causes the fat pad on the abdomen to decrease. The thinner fat pad causes more of the penis to be exposed. I recalled reading that losing 30 pounds or so will make a man's penis longer by about an inch.

Well, at the time I measured I was down 20 pounds. And the extra 3/8 inch of exposed length was nice. But I want my foreskin coverage back!

I am once again motivated to restore. Losing my flaccid coverage makes me appreciate what I had. I want it back. I am now manual tugging two to three times a day.

I am still losing weight. Currently I am down almost 30 pounds and I have gained 1/2 inch of length since I started. Unfortunately, I am gaining penis length faster than I am growing foreskin length. But I will catch up because I will stop losing weight before my foreskin stops growing.

#2 Nope

My restored foreskin is not baggy, even after losing a lot of weight. The dartos muscle on the shaft skin contracts to make the restored foreskin form fitting.

As for bagging skin on the rest of your body when you lose weight, I believe that is due to losing weight so fast that your skin does not have a chance to conform to your body size. That is one of the reasons many say to limit weight loss to no more than 1 to 2 pounds per week.
