Foreskin Restoring Downunder:  Coming up to 1 year...
A man restoring his foreskin approaches his one-year restoring anniversary. He wonders what results he should be seeing at this juncture. A lot depends upon how regularly he tugged and how closely he monitored his progress. Restoring a foreskin takes time. It also takes some experimentation to determine the optimum tugging routine and amount of tension to apply. He started with a relatively loose circumcision. Initially, he should have noticed that his skin became more flexible and mobile. Depending upon how regularly he tugged, after one year of tugging he should be approaching flaccid coverage. But it is difficult to say what another person's progress should be. I was fantatical about tugging my first year and I had full flaccid coverage most of the time after a year.

The Case Against Infant Circumcision: Why some people/cultures value circumcision above human life
So when we hear of an infant or child dying from the complications of a circumcision, instead of a total human outcry to ban the practice and stopping a preventable death, we see many who practice circumcision, defending the practice of circumcision, & many of us shake our heads in despair. Why must parents continue cutting the genitals of their children, even when there is so much evidence of circumcision harm?

The WHOLE Network: Medicaid, CDC, and AAP Letters
An intactivist sent 46 letters to Medicaid contacts in the US. After 4 months, he received 11 replies. Unfortunately, he did not receive any favorable responses.

Intact America: INTACTIVIST OF THE MONTH: Penn Jillette
Penn Jillette of Penn and Teller ardently speaks out against male infant circumcision. "The rate of transmission of sexually transmitted diseases does not mean you can cut part of the body off an infant," says Penn, responding to a study claiming that circumcision can reduce the risk of herpes and HIV in sexually active men in Africa. Penn addresses the issue of choice: "Shouldn't our son have the choice whether he wants to wear a condom or cut off part of his dick? Put down the knife. Step away from the baby."

HIV AIDS Info: HIV AIDS Info: Why is infant circumcision performed in the US – there is 0.1% HIV in EU and below 5% circ rate?
The question is asked why is male circumcision pushed as an HIV preventative when highly circumcised United States has a higher HIV rate than Europe, which has little circumcision among males.

Beyond the Bris: Going Bare: An Exclusive Interview with Intactivism's Favorite Runner
The Barefoot Intactivist uses running as a vehicle to spread the word about genital integrity. He invariably wears t-shirts and other gear that shouts his anti-circumcision message. He also hands out cards and talks with random persons about leaving baby boys intact, that is, uncircumcised.

The Stir: Does This Make You Change Your Mind About Circumcision?
Recently, a 2 year old baby boy died shortly after his circumcision. There is not a good enough reason for circumcision if death is a possibility. Parents need to realize that infant circumcision is surgery, and all surgery carries risks. Why subject a healthy baby to those risks for an elective surgery?

Male Circumcision and HIV: OPEN THREAD MONDAY: How important is it to you that intactivists are represented at the International AIDS Society Conference in Rome?
An open thread trying to raise awareness about the need to send an intactivist to the AIDS Society Conference in Rome. Currently, Intact America is seeking funding to send an intactivist contingent to the conference to help offset the promotion of the male circumcision campaign in Africa.

Male Circumcision and HIV:  Condoms designed specifically for circumcised men?
Few realize that male infant circumcision is one of the causes of a man's lessening of sexual pleasure as he ages. (Restoring my foreskin has also restored my sexual pleasure.) It is no secret that the ED drugs have their largest market in the two first world countries that have the greatest percentage of circumcised men. Now they want to put an ED-type drug inside condoms. I can see the need for that. I know that before I restored I could not wear a condom and keep an erection. I did not have very much sensitivity and wearing a condom reduced my sensations so much that I cluld not stay erect.

RTE News: Inquiry after 'incomplete' circumcision
A mother wanted a circumcision of her son for cultural, religious, and hygiene reasons. The boy's penis was damaged during his circumcision. During an investigation into the botched circumcision, it was found that circumcisions were most performed by trainee surgeons. Who would want some doctor practicing on their sex organs? It could result in tragic results, as happened to this poor boy.

YouTube Video by circumstraint: So You Support Male Infant Circumcision
I cannot stand it when a person responds to an argument by saying, "I know someone who ..." This video responds to many such silly arguments. Primarily, cutting off part of a male's penis should be the choice of the person attached to the penis.

YouTube Video DrakeCovens: Born this way
A video showing baby boys who were left the way they were born, whole and intact. I sure wish my parents had left me whole. I would have preferred to keep all my body parts.

Intactivists: What Happens During an Infant Circumcision?
How is an infant circumcision performed? What happens during a circumcision? This post has circumcision videos. These videos are not for the squeamish or sensitive. It is amazing that people can say that circumcision does not hurt.

Lizard Dick: The Big Day
The Lizard receives his TLC Tugger in the mail. It was delivered to his work and he was concerned about his coworkers discovering that he was restoring. Fortunately, TLC Tugger does not put any incriminating information on the packaging.

Lizard Dick: Pulling Taffy
A man beginning to restore his foreskin writes of his first full day restoring with a TLC Tugger. It is a learning experience, as he found out. He is optimistic, and writes, "so far so good."

GMA News: Guinness rejects Marikina City's ‘circumcision party’ — report
A city in the Philippines wanted to get a Guinness Book of World Records entry for the largest circumcision party in the world. Fortunately, Guinnes does not recognize such events as world records. Of all the things to be recognized for, the number of children who have their genitals cut should be near the end of the list.

Intactivists: John Harvey Kellogg
A lot of people do not know the connection between Kelloggs cereals, masturbation, and circumcision. Kellogg wrote, "A remedy [for masturbation] which is almost always successful in small boys is circumcision . . .. The operation should be performed by a surgeon without administering an anesthetic, as the brief pain attending the operation will have a salutary effect upon the mind, especially if it be connected with the idea of punishment." He also wrote, "In females, the author has found the application of pure carbolic acid [phenol] to the clitoris an excellent means of allaying the abnormal excitement."
