Intactivism: Week in Review July 10, 2010

by Tally on July 10, 2010 Bookmark and Share

Say no to circumcision - support intactivism. The following list includes blogs, articles, and websites of interest to Intactivists that were published in the past week. This is a running tally of the ones I found interesting.

This week has not seen many intactivist posts. It may be that the heat wave across the United States has kept intactivists busy doing other things, like keeping cool.

Times Live: Comment here: Should ritual overrule logic in circumcision
A mother decides to leave her newborn son intact by not circumcising him. It is interesting that all the medical people she talked to suggested that the baby be circumcised. Think there my be some profit driven bias there?

DrMomma Peaceful Parenting: The Book of Mormon on Circumcision
The Mormon Church does not require circumcision. The leaders of the Latter Day Saints church have made it clear that body modifications are not desirable. It is considered disrespectful to mark the body with piercing or tattoos, etc. But, many Mormon parents wonder why the Church wouldn't speak up if it were, in fact, wrong to surgically amputed the prepuce from baby boys.
