18 Month progress report for restoring foreskin

18 month progress report of foreskin restoration of a routine infant circumcision

It is hard for me to believe, but I have been tugging my foreskin for 18 months. When I started tugging, I thought I would be done by now. I have come a long way, but I still have a bunch more skin to grow.

When I started tugging, my shaft skin was tight when I was erect. My glans and shaft were the same color as the skin on the rest of my body.

Now, 18 months later, I look down and I don't recognize that thing hanging between my legs. It does not look like the dick I had a year and a half ago. Not only are my glans and inner foreskin remnant a nice pink color, they are also smooth and glossy. Even when I am flaccid, my glans normally is smooth and shiny.

Along with the change in appearance is a change in how my penis feels. Before restoring I had very little sensation down there. When my wife asked me why I wanted to restore, my answer was to smack my dick with a ruler, just like a Catholic nun would rap a student's knuckles with a ruler. My wife jumped at the sharp crack of the ruler against my glans. I could barely feel it. Eighteen months later, there is no way that I would repeat that demonstration.

Not only is my penis much more sensitive, but the gliding of my glans inside my skin tube is fantastic. My wife loves the way my foreskin feels inside her. We don't need lube like we used to. Also, she says that she does not get sore like she used to. Foreskin restoration has been a win-win for both of us.

With all these benefits from foreskin restoration, I could stop restoring my foreskin and be happy.
I have full coverage when flaccid almost all the time. Daytime erections require me to adjust things down there and that is OK. I still need to wear a retainer at night. My foreskin retracts with nocturnal erections. Having my newly sensitive glans touching the sheets usually wakes me. I could live with this if I had to.

After eighteen months of restoring, tugging has become such a habit that I don't even think about it. I just do it. Standing in the shower I often realize that I am using method 2 to tug. Before I put my retainer on at night, I automatically tug for a minute or two. It does not feel right if I miss one of my regular tugging sessions. Tugging is just something I do.

Another reason I do not plan on stopping just yet is that I want more inner foreskin. I started restoring with about 1 inch (25mm) of inner foreskin. After 18 months of tugging I have about 1-5/8 inch (40mm) of inner foreskin. That is enough to cover about 1/3 to 1/2 of my glans. That is not enough. I want my inner foreskin to cover my glans.

So, I guess I will keep on tugging!

I am so glad that the only "tugging" my 13 yr old and 1 yr old will be doing is the fun kind.

#2 You have some lucky sons

Hi Sam,

I see from your blog that you don't believe in circumcision. Good for you! And, good for your sons! I wish my parents had left me intact.

#3 Circumcision should be respected.

I really feel that the choice for circumcision be respected. I understand that there are people who do and people who don't believe in circumcision. However, I am circumcised and I am SO SO glad I am. I have a friend who embarrassingly enough has told me about his terrible problems with being uncircumcised. He is going through a surgical procedure in a month to remove the foreskin. This is a very controversial subject but the right decision is right for each person.

#4 His body, his choice

I agree, each person should have a choice about circumcision. Unfortunately, infant circumcision removes that choice from the person with the penis.

If infant circumcision stopped, then any adult who wants to be circumcised would have that option and anyone who does not want to be circumcised (like me) would be intact. By stopping infant circumcision, everyone wins. Even parents win because caring for an intact infant is much easier than caring for a baby with a circumcision wound.

#5 Circumcision

How is it ever forgivable to cut another persons sexual organs off? I never wanted this done to my penis and now part of my glans is missing since birth. Why would anyone do this. Why is there no law protecting me when I was strapped down against my will and had my penis cut up in this manner. No one has the right to cut my penis up like this. I hate relegious freaks for doing this in the name of religion. Why are we such a sick society to let this keep happening. Just disgusting.
