Woman intactivist truly knows the difference between circumcised and intact
I'm new to this forum and thought I would introduce myself. I'm a 25 (almost 26) year old woman, and definitely consider myself an intactivist.
I used to be one of those girls that thought an intact penis was kinda strange, and that I would probably circumcise my sons because it had been done to basically every penis I had seen. I discovered the TLC Tugger website a little over a year ago when I was doing some research on phimosis. I am a very curious and open-minded person and decided to look around some more. I was shocked to find the real differences between an intact penis and a circumcised one!
I was in a relationship at the time, and had been having sexual issues for quite a while. My partner was of average size and was very caring, but something just never felt quite "right" about our sex life. In fact, sex had been a frustrating part of my life for some time, as it had always been a little bit painful and awkward for me. There were times when I liked it, but it was never quite what I envisioned it to be.
I remember reading all of what had to be said on this forum and was very sad because I knew my partner at the time would have nothing of it. I was fairly certain that part of our problems could have been stemming from his circumcised status, but I was very much in love with him, so I tried not to let it bother me.
We broke up (for unrelated reasons) several months later. I was pretty bummed, to say the least.
In the spring, I became interested in a fellow that I had met through a common interest. He was very sweet and fun, and decided to give it a go.
So, long story made short, we're getting intimate, and I reach down and feel something new and different ... and it hits me, he wasn't circumcised. The first time we had intercourse I wasn't able to notice much of a difference (the first time is always awkward lol), especially with a condom. But once I was confident that we weren't going to give each other any diseases, we tried it without.
I can't even begin to put into words the difference the foreskin made. I can't tell you how happy it makes me to see so many guys go through the foreskin restoration process for both themselves and their partners. We've since broken up, but I know now that I CAN have a fulfilling sex life! I will NEVER have this done to my children. This chap was lucky, his foreskin was too short for the docs to risk operating on it, but even with a shorter foreskin (his only went about halfway down the glans when flaccid), it was such an incredible difference! At the same time, however, I am filled with the deepest sadness that so many of our fellow Americans continue to be brainwashed. I know there are men and women suffering from this, and, for the first time in my life, I want to get out there and inform people about something I really care about!
So, I hope that this post not only gives you an introduction to who I am, but also shows you that there are people who VERY much appreciate all that you have been doing! I am SO grateful for the ability to look at these forums and see people doing such wonderful things!
Thanks,
~M
The above story is by metroidgirl, a guest blogger who is an intactivist. The post above originally appeared on the foreskin restoration forum linked below. Like her namesake Samus Aran, metroidgirl encounters situations and problems, figures out what is going on, and works at overcoming the situations and problems. In this case, she discovered how a man's circumcision decreased her sexual pleaure compared to a man with an intact penis. She is on a mission to make the world a better place by advocating for genital integrity and against circumcision.

#1 cut vs uncut
Why the distaste towards circumcised penises? I have a sister with an Arab man who is obviously circumcised, and she swears she will never go back to any man with a foreskin. She recoils at the mere thought of putting a foreskin covered penis in her mouth or in her body.
Sex is sooo much different with a circumcised man and they can go the distance, while their erections are stronger and when they are inside you, they aren't jerking themselves off inside their foreskins.!!
I have had sex with both sides of the coins, and I think it fair to say that when there is an absence of foreskin, the sensations are much more pronounced.
Circumcision does not need to be done on young babies who are tied down and brutalised, but can be done under a general anesthetic with adequate pain relief. My 2 sons are circumcised and they both know that their penises are princes amongst the paupers.
Long live circumcision!!!
#2 TAKE THE ADVISE OF AN EXPERT!!
Let me give you the perspective of one who has the advantage of a fairly unique position. I'm in my 60s and I remain intact (thank goodness) while both my older and younger brothers were routinely circumcized.
To this day I don't know how or why I escaped circumcision, but since childhood and my life long I've felt both outraged at my parents and sorry for my brothers. I have always sensed that my brothers resented it (I won't go into detail), though I've never actually brought up the subject with any family members, as I don'I want to hurt them or remind my brothers of what they're missing.
My parents are both gone now and I loved them very much, but deep down inside, I'm angry that my brothers were mutilated and for no logical reason. If it makes me this upset, and I'm the one who escaped, how might my brothers silently suffered all these years? It's the 21st goddam century now, and people are still routinely getting their sons circumcized! Such a decision can only be made by people who are extremely ignorant about the subject.
Remember that circumcized fathers who choose this for their sons (or make the mistake of allowing their wives any input on the one subject they should have no voice in) simply never knew what it's like to have a foreskin. Countless circumcized men who have educated themselves today are seeking foreskin restoration. I pity them as well - they can never fully regain what has been lost. If you parents out there don't think this is a big deal, then that's even more reason NOT to do it. Your son may have much stronger feelings about it some day!!
#3 Sensations?
I want to focus mainly on your presumption that there is more sensation (for you, anyway) with a circumcised penis. When I was younger and sex was mostly quickies, which I would assume your sex is if you say there is increased sensation, I thought there was more sensation with a circumcised penis as well. As I matured and began to experience real sexual pleasure (and sex that lasted more than five minutes), I came to realize that the percieved "sensation" was anything but sensational.
Because circumcision amputates ~20,000 nerve endings and causes the keratinization of the glans (basically, a calous covering the most sensitive portion of the penis), men experience LESS sensation. For us ladies, that moisture absorbing calous soaks up the lubrication we produce, while the hooked corona pulls anything not absorbed out of the vagina. This hook may provide "more sensation" during a quicky or with a liberal amount of a very high quality lubricant, but it also DAMAGES the vagina by scraping. As time goes by, a circumcised man will need to become rougher during sex, on top of this coronal curetage of the vagina, and will result in pain for you.
#4 i am a 36 year old woman who
i am a 36 year old woman who has had quite alot of sex in life. with men and women. i have never been able to reach orgasm by any other means than masturbation, and not for lack of trying. i have come very close and thought i had had orgasms before when having sex with other people, but now i know i was only coming close to a sort of clitoral orgasm climax and then getting extremely frustrated. (i read recently that women can have 11 different kinds of orgasms). i now have an uncut lover for the first time and the second time we had sex i had several very intense deep orgasms where i was left spasming and writhing on the bed. the magic recipe was us thrusting together (in any position) while he rubbed my clit. and voila, orgasm within about 2-3 minutes. and no small orgasm either. huge, super wet, dramatic ones, one right after another. i actually have to stop him because i start to hyperventilate after about 6. now, if that doesn't sound like fun, ladies, i don't know what does? he also has phimosis, i discovered, when trying to figure out why his penis works so well for me. (which means his foreskin is tight or he has alot or foreskin and it is also tight? so it does not pull back to expose the head of his penis and actually covers his whole penis even the head when he is erect, causing him no problems and causing immense pleasure for me). and i have to say having experienced alot of cut penises before, i have never experienced sensations like with his uncut penis. i will reach orgasm very quickly in any position (with clitoral stimulation, ofcourse!, don't forget this one, boys and girls) but with doggy style, the sensations are unreal!!!
#5 Why on earth would a woman
Why on earth would a woman prefer a prepuce amputee above the real, natural, intact dick?
If indeed "She recoils at the mere thought of putting a foreskin covered penis in her mouth or in her body", the question is WHY? Is it about the myth about "cleanliness"? Prepuce mutilation (a.k.a. a circumcision) started in arid countries where water is scarce and the level of hygiene low (soap being a scarce of absent commodity). Fact is: the female vagina is ten times more "unclean" than the intact penis, and much more difficult to maintain clean. Now is that not a very good reason why women should be circumcised?
Women who insist on their partners being circumcised, can do so provided they themselves are circumcised. Intact women prefer intact men.
#6 Really???
@Sandra - Really??? I would give my eye teeth if my mother in law had left that decision up to me. I'll take a whole man over a mutilated one in a heartbeat. An intact man's penis works right! My DH would agree. It's the reason he's currently restoring. He would like to have back what was stolen from him. He would also have liked to avoid the 3 surgeries he's had to correct the Meatal Stenosis caused by the mutilation of his penis.
Intact men get feedback from their foreskin. I've heard it described by a man circumcised later in life as going from watching color TV to Black and white. From a woman's prospective, I personally like the idea of not having fluids squeegied out of my vagina by a cut penis. I like the idea that an intact man doesn't have to pound the crap out of you during sex to derive any pleasure. Intact sex is smooth and slow!
You might want to check out http://SexAsNatureIntendedIt.com/ to see in actuality what both partners get to miss out on when parents choose to cut their children's genitals.
How about we leave that choice up to a man and his partner rather than a child's parents who will never be effected by their child's penile status.
#7 I've never had sex with an intact man
Honestly, I've never had sex with an intact man. I live in a part of the United States where almost every little boy has his foreskin ripped from him while he is strapped down and screaming. My husband is circumcised but our little boy is not. It's his body to decide what to do with...not mine. That's fine that your sexual preference is for circumcised penises but have you thought about what the sensation is like for a man? Circumcision has been proven to decrease sensitivity for men. The foreskin has thousands upon thousands of nerves. It also protects the head of the penis. Haven't you considered that these intact men you slept with simply didn't know how to use it? My circumcised husband is great at sex but that could change as he ages and his sensitivity decreases. Some men are good at sex. Others aren't. It doesn't always depend on being intact or circumcised. I seriously hope you did not circumcise your sons based on your own sexual preference. I find that a little disturbing to say the least.
#8 @Sandra
I was wondering if it turned out a man sexually preferred larger breasts on a women, would it be alright for him to have breast implants put in his daughters? Or would that be creepy and inappropriate?
If you or your friend/ sister prefer men with half their erogenous tissue cut from their penis, I say 'Good for You!'
All the research I have seen shows that 88% of female partners prefer intact over cut. Maybe you are in the 12%.
Partners of intact men are more likely to orgasm, and more often. You know the vaginal soreness one can get after intercourse? Not a problem with an intact partner. As women get older and perimenopausal, dryness is more of an issue for women with a circumcised man as well. Oh well.
Your argument is commonly used by men in parts of the world that practice female genital mutilation. They claim cutting girls without their consent is cleaner and men prefer it.
A penis that has had this elective modification is a penis that is much more likely to have the associated sexual dysfunctions: ED, premature ejaculation, priapism, meatal stenosis, painful erections.
I think the key is allowing men to make such a big decision for themselves, when they are capable of giving informed consent. I am glad to hear your sons had the benefit of anaesthesia, if so they are in a small minority. Only 6% of neonates are given even topical pain relief, which has been shown to be ineffective. General anaesthsia is too dangerous to give to new babies for a non-medically necessary surgery so it isn't given. So your fortunate sons must have been older, right?
75% of babies who are circumcized cannot readily breastfeed, I hope that wasn't a problem for them.
I'm honestly happy for you preferring what your partner has, and there are lots of guys out there with this particular modification. Just like some people like piercings, breast implants or tattoos. I just think we shouldn't make our children have those alterations because of our sexual preferences.

#9 Princes among paupers?
You have had 50% of your infant son's penile tissue removed largely because you think it feels better for the women during intercourse-- that just makes me feel kind of ill... for numerous reasons.
#10 Yeah, I imagine if a man said
Yeah, I imagine if a man said he preferred genitally mutilated women because he said it felt better FOR HIM, never mind how the woman felt, you'd say that was an outrage, Sandra.
#11 Precisely
I couldn't have said this better myself.
#12 Illusions of Grandeur
"Why the distaste towards circumcised penises?"
Why the distaste for anatomically correct genitalia?
"I have a sister with an Arab man who is obviously circumcised, and she swears she will never go back to any man with a foreskin. She recoils at the mere thought of putting a foreskin covered penis in her mouth or in her body."
Sounds like neither you nor your sister have had sex with an anatomically correct man. For if you have, you would know that the foreskin retracts to reveal the head of the penis when erect.
It is a sexual fetish to prefer something as artificial and contrived as the circumcised penis, kind of like prefering amputees over men who sport all their limbs...
"Sex is sooo much different with a circumcised man and they can go the distance, while their erections are stronger and when they are inside you, they aren't jerking themselves off inside their foreskins.!!"
"Go the distance?" Actually I hear that since 20,000 nerves are missing, and the head of the penis becomes hard and callous, they can't feel when they're about to come, so they have premie problems. Also, since they get desensitized, over time they can no longer get it up. "Go the distance" my foot. "Strong errections?" Maybe if you consider Jell-o "strong..."
Human anatomy lesson: The foreskin retracts revealing the head of the penis, and even in the rare cases where it doesn't, the man still puts his "covered" penis in his woman's vagina. Whether he is "jerking himself off inside his foreskin" or not, you can't deny the penis must go and must stimulate the vagina, and when the penis is covered in the state of phimosis, it's just like being circumcised. (Because, like in men with phimosis, the skin on the circumcised penis is immobile.)
"I have had sex with both sides of the coins, and I think it fair to say that when there is an absence of foreskin, the sensations are much more pronounced."
No you haven't. You don't know what you're talking about. "Foreskin covered penis?" "Jerking off in their foreskins?" Uh, no.
Studies have been made, and even in women that quote unquote say they "prefer circumcised penises," they have also indicated that they are more likely to orgasm with men with anatomically correct genitalia.
"Circumcision does not need to be done on young babies who are tied down and brutalised, but can be done under a general anesthetic with adequate pain relief."
You've never had sex with an intact man, and from what it sounds like, you've never seen a circumcision before. Circumcision "can" be done with pain relief, but like 96% of babies aren't and are tied down and brutalized.
http://articles.cnn.com/1997-12-23/health/9712_23_circumcision.anestheti...
Would you advocate for female circumcision if it were done with pain relief? Or as baby girls so that they can't remember?
But what if men started thinking that women without labia are "sexier" than women with?
"My 2 sons are circumcised and they both know that their penises are princes amongst the paupers.
Long live circumcision!!!"
HAH! Yeah, you keep telling them that. Circumcision is tacky as blinging your baby. The circumcision rates in the US have fallen to 33%, according to the CDC. 'Fraid more and more circumcision is becoming the ghetto, backwoods thing to do, and your sons' penises are going to be the bumpkins among the educated.
Get educated. Have sex with an anatomically correct man. Take proper human anatomy class.
#13 There is a difference.
I have had experience with both cut and uncut men. I enjoyed all of them, but I really do prefer an uncut man. Intercourse is more natural and feels better. I can't speak for the men, but as a woman, I definitely can tell the difference during intercourse. With an uncut man, all of the nerve endings in his penis are still intact, ergo more sensitivity, better sex. Sadly, a man cut at birth, doesn't know the difference, because he has nothing to compare it to. I am an intactavist, and I believe this is mutilation and completely unacceptable.
#14 His body, his choice
What matters the most is that it's his body. The biggest tragedy behind circumcision is the inability of the person to prevent the procedure from being performed on himself (or herself in the case of FGM). Scientific studies have been performed which show that circumcision results in a loss of functionality, both in mechanics and sensation. It is an irrefutable fact that a circumcised man has fewer nerve endings than an intact man. No one should have the right to reduce another person's sexual functionality and sensation without their consent.
The content of my post meant to show that there are two sides to this story- the man AND his partner. I find it very sad that so many men have been denied what is rightfully theirs, and how many of their partners have suffered as a result. I think that if more women knew the difference, they would think twice about having it done to their sons. This is why I chose to share.
#15 foreskin feels fab
Sorry but Sandra your comments don't stack up. You don't like the feel of a man getting the pleasure of his foreskin moving inside you? Even though it rubs against your g-spot gently and deliciously and makes him feel fab? What kind of misandrist says this kind of thing? You're cutting off your nose to spite your face! Also the comment that a man's erections are stronger if cut - nonsense. He has taut dry skin - that's not the same as having a stronger erection. In fact with extra skin to expand into a man who's uncut is bigger - by 0.8cm one Australian study found. Many intact men have a distinct area of ridged skin which sticks out behind the glans (where the extra foreskin concertinas) which rubs against a woman's G-spot quite precisely. Do you HONESTLY think that was a mistake Mother Nature made - to create ridges behind the glans in the EXACT area where they would interact with her G-spot ridges?? Have you ever looked at a condom designed 'for her pleasure' - they're clearly modelled on an intact man! Re Erectile dysfunction this is one of the side effects of circumcision - rare but it does occur. And the idea that woman like a man to go on and on and on pumping away is also nonsense. Orgasm is easier with an intact man - especially simultaneous orgasm - why on earth would you need him to pump on and on grinding his teeth (as I've seen circumcised men do) when you could have a great orgasm together? It's just nonsense.... Check out the study by Solinis et al on couples who experienced him being circumcised during their sexual relationship. This showed the women were even more p***ed off than the subjects themselves!! Although 2/3 said the man lasted longer only 1/6 thought this was a benefit. I think this proves my point, if such common sense that a soft sensitive ribbed penis is better for a woman needed to be proven!
#16 Lippy Girl is, in my view,
Lippy Girl is, in my view, the toughest and smartest woman in the world when it comes to defending ample labia minora. The bizarre sexual insecurities that have resulted in over 100 million foreskins being chopped off in the English countries, began appearing in the other gender. At least with women, we are talking elective cosmetic surgery done after 18 years of age, and not to newborn girls at the insistence of their parents.
Lippy Girl is part of of an emerging trend of tough and very smart women who can see that sometimes men are on the short end of the sexism stick. And routine infant circ is a case in point. If a woman's ample labia deserve the respect of all of us, and the passionate attention of a woman's devoted sex partner -- and they emphatically do -- then the male foreskin deserves the same. I salute Lippy Girl as a superb female intactivist. All tender moving parts between all legs should be preserved in any civilised social order.
Lippy Girl, I especially like that you mentioned that sex lasting a long time is not the point, just as bigger is not better in penis length. The point is to move to simultaneous orgasm more or less in parallel. If it only takes only 4-5 minutes to climax, that's fine, especially if the 4-5 minutes of intercourse were preceded by 20-30 minutes of foreplay.
#17 foreskin vs. callused glans
Having had sex with both intact men and circ'ed ones, it has always amazed me that anyone would put their babies through it. It's like removing tonsils for no reason, an outdated practice which has been proven by unbiased studies to have no merit whatsoever. There are, of course, biased studies to be found which can prove that it prevents everything from HIV to sore hips.
Let's be clear, there is no proven medical reason for routine removal of the foreskin!
As for having sex, a man who is circ'ed has very little sensation due to the callus which forms after the protection of the foreskin is removed. This makes a man less likely to want to wear a condom, because it creates a barrier which removes the little sensation he has left. It also causes some other problems which have been mentioned such as lack of sensation leading to either premature ejaculation or erectile dysfunction.
For the woman having sex with a circ'ed man, you need a lot of foreplay for both of you, as well as extra lube.
With an intact man, when he is fully erect, his glans emarges fully from the hood of foreskin. The closer he gets to orgasm, the more it becomes engorges with blood which releases pheremones from the glans and lubricational liquid which start to seep from the tip. This increases the womans excitement, making her release more lube as well. In comparison a circ'ed man's callused glans will act like a sponge soaking up any lube the woman produces as he pounds away trying to achieve orgasm while making his lady sore. This can be alleviated with lots of foreplay and other lube, but for someone like myself who is allergic to artificial lube, it's impossible to keep from getting a little chafing soreness with a circ'ed guy. I am sooooo glad my hubby is intact.
As for hygiene, it's not an issue. You just wash daily with soap and water, the same as with any other part of your body.
#18 Hot for foreskin
Having been with both intact and circumcised men, it's no contest. Intact, definitely.
Admittedly it's harder to feel a difference with a condom, but without....it's absolutely fabulous. I can never understand how women can say that they think it's gross, ugly, not as good etc...They've clearly never been with, or even seen an intact penis.
I have never had an orgasm having sex with a circumcised man. With an intact man? All. The. Time. It's also more gentle, sensual and has more fluidity of movement. The sensation of the foreskin gliding back and forth inside of you is absolutely delicious. Also, in my experience intact men have more control and seem to last longer. I also think that oral sex with an intact partner is way more fun ;)
I agree that Sandra is probably missing out on the best possible sex of her life.
However, the most important thing is respecting a man's right to his whole body and his whole penis. All of it, not some of it, or most of it, but all of it.
#19 New to intact men
I am new to an intact man. It was a little weird at first when I found out. I ran into an old friend of mine and we hooked up. At first I didn't know he was intact until after the fact. The sex was amazing. More so than with any man I was with who was cut. I had an orgasm every time and just figured it was great sex until I started dating this guy (different guy) and he was also intact. How I managed to find two intact guys in a row I don't know but again the sex was amazing. So my research began. I have found out that it seems to be easier for women to have an orgasm with an intact man. I am hoping things work out with this guy but if they don't I hope I never find a cut man again.
#20 Had both sides of the pancake.
I've been with an equal number of intact and circumsized men. I prefer intact men. And in regards to that woman who says circumsized men can go longer...I don't think their foreskin determines their control over climax, it's very much a mental thing. I've had intact men that could go on for hours. My current fiance is circumsized (although loosely) and wishes he had all of this penis. We buy a lot of lube... Our future sons will keep all of their penis. I'll leave it at that.
