A mother writes that there was no circumcision debate in their house about their baby boy. With about 5 minutes of education about circumcision, her husband (who is circumcised) realized the harm of male infant circumcision. Their baby was left whole and intact.

Not only does the blogger fight against male infant circumcision on his blog, he also talks to people IRL. When the situation presents itself, he provides others with educational information on the child's right to a whole body, intact and free of genital cutting. He describes some of the issues he confronted before he felt comfortable approaching people that work for the same large corporation that he does.

Tony refutes the claim made by some adamant pro-circumcisionists by showing that intactivists do have science on their side. The vast majority of intactivist arguments are science based arguments. Unlike some circumcision advocates, intactivists do not make up data and facts. Intactivists repeat information from credible sources.

A Dublin, Ireland, plastic surgeon speaks out about the harm of circumcision. The doctor says circumcision is genital mutilation that exposes patients to a number of health risks. Complications include bleeding and infection, which are fairly common. Another complication of infant circumcision is Meatal stenosis, which causes symptoms of painful urination, increased urinary frequency, and inability to control urination.

Circumstitions News:  WASHINGTON, DC: Circumcision studies to be re-checked
It is customary to check the results of a program implemented based on a study done in the past. By checking the results, the original study can be verified or refuted. After all, it is the real world results that count, not what the study says. But there is no need to wait. Before rolling out a program to implement a study recommendation, it may be prudent to re-evaluate the data of the original study. Such is the thinking of a new program that is seeking to repeat published studies to determine if the original results are justified based on the data.

The European country of Finland is struggling with the issue of male circumcision when the genital cutting is done for religious reasons. On one hand, child circumcision is a violation of the bodily rights of the child, who should be protected by society if not the parents. On the other hand are those who say marking their children with the stamp of their religion is the right of the parents. Instead of forcing it on a child, why not let the child grow up and consciously decide if he wishes to have his body marked by removing part of his sex organ?

A Jewish mother's book addresses attachment parenting (AP). The book originally was to be about raw food nutrition, but the scope grew to cover many aspects of attachment parenting. Even though Jewish, she takes a strong stand against male infant circumcision, devoting a significant part of the book about the practice. Leaving baby boys whole and intact is a part of attachment parenting. To circumcise baby boys flies in the face of what AP is about.

A YouTube video, Texas Attorney Speaks Out for Genital Integrity Rights. The attorney tells his story about circumcision and being an intactivist, one who fights for the rights of the child to keep his body whole and intact. Protecting child rights transcends political parties.
