Benefits of foreskin restoration - Part 1 Sensitivity
Prologue
Before I started restoring my foreskin, my circumcised penis was pretty normal. My glans and shaft were the same color as the rest of my skin. I remember that years ago my penis would get irritated from rubbing against my clothes, but that has stopped. The skin on my penis has toughened up (keratinized). There was one spot on my corona that was a different texture and it was easily irritated if I rubbed it wrong.
As I got older, it took me longer and longer to ejaculate from sex. Sex was no longer as satisfying as it used to be and it was taking me longer and longer to climax during sex. My wife thought sex lasted too long. I had no trouble masturbating, but sex gradually became less satisfying. No question about it, my penis was becoming less sensitive as I reached my 40s and got worse the older I got.
Until I learned about foreskin restoration, I never knew that the glans and part of my shaft skin were mucous membranes. That is the same type tissue as under your eyelids. No wonder my penis was irritated from rubbing on my clothes. Over time, the mucous membranes develop a calloused layer or become keratinized. The calloused layer protects the mucous membranes by making the tissue less sensitive to touch.
In an intact man, that is, one who is uncircumcised, the foreskin covers and protects the glans and inner foreskin. These tissues in an intact man remain as mucous membranes and are susceptible to the full range of feelings.
My first sense of increasing sensitivity
After 2 months of restoring, my inner foreskin remnant was bunching up against my glans when I was flaccid. The bunching up was protecting the inner foreskin remnant as the skin folded in upon itself. It started getting more sensitive. I could run my finger across the inner foreskin and I could feel the same type of sensations that I felt when I run a fingertip across the palm of my hand. Before I started restoring, all of my shaft skin felt the same. No part of my penis, other than that small part of the corona, was very sensitive to touch.
Along with the increased sensitivity came irritation. Parts of my newly sensitive skin that was bunched up was rubbing against my shorts. The irritation brought back memories of my youth when I felt a similar irritation before my penis toughened up. I started wearing a retainer to pull what little foreskin I had grown over my glans. The retainer kept the inner foreskin inside the skin tube I was growing. No more irritation.
Another thing the retainer did was to cover and protect my glans. Over the next 7 months the callous layer on my glans and inner foreskin slowly disappeared. My glans and inner foreskin remnant stated looking like mucous membranes. The tissue became shiny and glossy looking. It also became much more sensitive to touch. My glans and inner foreskin remnant became so sensitive that it is uncomfortable if they rub against my clothing and bedsheets.
Masturbation
Along with the slowly increasing sensitivity of my glans and inner foreskin remnant, I was also growing more skin. After about 4 months of manual tugging I could pull my new skin tube over the corona when I was erect. With this slack skin, I learned a new way to masturbate.
Before restoration, I typically used a lubricant when I masturbated. Hand cream was my choice of lubricant. I would put some in my palm and wrap my fingers around my shaft and slide my hand up and down the shaft. Even with lubricant, there was some abrasion of the corona because it stuck out from the shaft. My corona was usually very tender after masturbation. Another masturbation technique, before restoration, was to use a soft cloth or towel and use that to stimulate my shaft and glans. My penis would sometimes have raw spots after an extended session.
After I grew enough slack skin, I was able to wrap my hand loosely around the shaft and move the skin up and down the shaft. The slack skin would fold over and cover part of the glans. My hand did not need to touch my glans or inner foreskin remnant. No lubrication is required. There is no skin rubbing or sliding against other skin. The skin rolls over itself.
I have no desire to use vigorous hand movements like I did before restoration. Slow and steady feels good. Alternating slow with fast movements is also good.
The movement of the skin feels very natural and comfortable. No part of my penis gets sore or raw when I masturbate by moving the skin back and forth. I can control the speed and pressure very easily as I reach orgasm.
Before restoration, I ejaculated. With a restored foreskin, I have orgasms.
Not only has my masturbation technique changed, but the results from masturbation are different. Before restoration, I would stimulate my glans and corona until I ejaculated. I normally used a fast rhythm when masturbating. Ejaculation usually occurred quickly with little warning. I have to stop stimulating myself when I ejaculate because further stimulation is unpleasant. Typically, I could bring myself to completion within a few minutes. After ejaculation, I usually immediately cleaned myself and went on to something else. Sometimes I would wait about 10 minutes or so for my refractory period to end and I would do it again.
With a restored foreskin, even a partially restored one, I can feel an orgasm as it approaches. My skin starts getting tingly, particularly my head and scalp. I use a slow and steady rhythm, pulling my skin up and over the corona. The tingling increases until I get a flush feeling as orgasm washes over me. I can continue moving the skin up and down as I orgasm. I feel no need to stop because the pleasure continues. As I orgasm, my breathing increases and I start panting. After I orgasm, I am out of breath and continue panting for several minutes. I am truly spent.
Other foreskin restorers speak about a whole body orgasm. I think I am experiencing that. My whole body reacts to my orgasm. The panting is caused by the orgasm because my hand motion during masturbation is not vigorous nor tiring. My body goes limp afterwards and I cannot move. I have no thought of doing it again for a while.
There is no comparison to masturbating before restoration and after. My technique is totally different. And the orgasms are out of this world. I have always been jealous of my female partners. Their orgasms were fireworks for them compared to a little firecracker going off for me. As I continue restoring, I have hope that my orgasms will rival those of my partner. Already, they are closer than I ever remember.

#1 When the foreskin is
When the foreskin is reconstructed does it act like a normal foreskin... what i mean is when aroused does the head uncover (this may seem like a stupid question but when i learned i was circmcised i was pissed and wanted to reconstruct it so i could feel whole again)
#2 Restored is very similar to intact
Original equipment foreskins come in all sizes. Some guys have short foreskins with minimal flaccid coverage. Others have long foreskins that cover the glans even when erect. Between those extremes, most men have a foreskin that retracts when erect and covers the whole penis when flaccid.
I have restored enough of my foreskin where I have full flaccid coverage with some overhang. When I get erect, my foreskin retracts so that my glans is exposed. My foreskin bunches up behind my corona. I can pull it forward over the glans, but it is not long enough to stay covering the glans.
Some foreskin restorers want to have full erect coverage. That is, they want the foreskin to be long enough so that when they are erect, the foreskin covers the glans. They continue to tug until the foreskin is as long as they want.
From your question, it sounds like you want to have the same type of coverage that I now enjoy. So, the answer to your question is, yes, you can have a foreskin that retracts when you are erect. The nice part about restoring is you get to choose how much foreskin you want. If you want a really long foreskin, keep on tugging. If you want a shorter one, stop tugging when you get there. The choice is up to you.
#3 Thank you so much for the
Thank you so much for the info... glad someone could help :)
#4 foreskin restoration
Unfortunately, when one is circumcised the part of the foreskin that they cut off has alot of sensory endings in it & when you restore. it may help cover the glans but you still don't have the original foreskin with all of its stretch receptors etc.. Fortunately I still have mine.. I do commend your efforts though . It is nice to have more skin .
#5 Foreskin restoration is not perfect, but it does help
Glad that you were left intact.
The ridged band and the frenular delta are excised by circumcision and cannot be restored. But a lot of the damage done by circumcision can be undone, like the keratinization of the glans and inner foreskin remnant. Also, the gliding action can be restored, which adds a whole new dimension of sensations to sex, whether solo or with a partner(s). Even though I can never have my natural foreskin back, I can restore some of what I lost.
#6 Foreskin Restoration
Hi, I've just been circumcised a few days ago due to phimosis and I've been researching the difference between cut and uncut in the run-up to my op. I've heard about this foreskin restoration and I'm curious about how it's done because reading circumcised people's experiences has brought me to realise what I could lose. I play guitar and you get pads on your fingers from the pressure of pressing on the strings and the thought of having that happen to my penis is horrifying. Could you give me some info or links on how to go about restoring the foreskin please? Any help would be much appreciated!
Many thanks,
Liam

Sorry to hear that you got circumcised recently. You will need to wait until the circumcision wound heals before you start tugging to restore your foreskin. Until then, you may want to wear a retainer like the Manhood to protect your sensitive bits.

#8 I was circumcised when I was
I was circumcised when I was born, and it sucks. That means I NEVER got to feel the great pleasure, EVER. And to top it off, I have diabetes type 1, meaning even if I get it back, my nerves will be messed up anyway.
#9 Do it, anyway
Even with diabetes, you will see benefits from restoring your foreskin. You will be taking control of part of your life and your body. The gliding action of the restored foreskin is amazing. It changes the whole dynamic of masturbation and sex. You will be surprised at the difference.
